ROLE OF PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR CONCUSSION TREATMENT

Our Physiotherapy treatment plan for concussion will include  vestibular, visual and orthopedic techniques. This will be conducted comprehensively through education, exercises, balance retraining and potentially hands on treatment of the neck.

The physiotherapy treatment plan is multifaceted and based on assessment findings and symptom presentation.  According to a the results of a local research at the University of Calgary, by Katherine Schneider et al. (2014), it was found that neck treatment and vestibular rehabilitation plays a substantial role for concussion rehabilitation.
